Preoccipital notch Definition

It is a notch, or indentation, in the ventrolateral edge of the temporal lobe of either half of the cerebrum (Cerebral hemisphere).

It can be found on the infero-lateral edge before the occipital pole. The Occipta lobe is situated in a location just posterior to the line that connects this indentation with the Parietoccipital sulcus.
