Pulmonary Ligament Definition

It refers to a supporting pleural fold that stretches out to the lower section of the lung from the hilus. It is a vertical fold.

In Latin, it is referred to as Ligamentum pulmonale.

Pulmonary Ligament Location

It sags down from the hilum of the lung. It stretches between the pericardium and the inferior section of the mediastinal area of the lung.
